About Jackie
I’m a writer and teacher interested in how women make sense of their lives, financially and otherwise.
My work sits at the intersection of money, attention, and lived experience. Over the years, through teaching, writing, and my own life transitions, I began to notice a pattern: women are often highly capable managers of daily life, yet carry unnecessary stress and self-doubt when wealth is defined too narrowly. The numbers alone don’t tell the whole story.
Counting On Yourself grew out of that realization.
I’ve taught courses on wholistic wealth through university continuing education programs, and my approach draws on decades of experience in financial decision-making, creative practice, and mindfulness study. I hold both an MBA and an MFA in Creative Writing, and my work bridges the practical and the reflective; clarity without judgment, structure without rigidity. In addition to my teaching and writing, I’ve spent over 30 years stewarding a family investment trust, navigating real-world financial decisions across changing markets and life stages.
I believe focus and self-trust can be learned..
I believe we each carry assets we don’t always recognize—but deserve to.
And I believe wholistic wealth, including both money and non-money assets, deserves to be acknowledged, measured, and reflected as part of our personal growth.
This work is an invitation to slow down, count honestly, and build a relationship with yourself that can support a life in motion.
